Diwali has the highest importance and popularity in all the festivals of Hindus. Deepawali means the garlands of lamps. Every year, on the new moon day of Kartik Moss, Diwali is celebrated with great gusto in all parts of the country. This festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm for the whole of five days till the second half of the Shukla side of the Kartik mass of Kartik Mass from the Krishna side of Trayadashi. On the occasion of Deepawali, the light of innumerable lights, bulbs, candles and skins fills the dark black night of Amavasya with light.
Every festival of India year is related to some important event. Every festival has its own story and a different reason to celebrate. On this day Lord Narasimha had defended the devotee Prahlad with the incarnation. Mother Laxmi also appeared on the same day as Mahalaxmi by the sea level. It is believed that the entire Ayodhya people decorated the entire city with lamps in the joy of returning to Ayodhya after Lord Ram. Since then, this day has been celebrated as Deepavali.
